Our biggest Pet Fair EVER! 
Sept 25 & 26, 2010

Where?        Prairieland Feeds, Route 45, Savoy IL 

(from Route 57, exit at Monticello/Savoy Airport; go east to Route 45. At the light, turn left/north. Store is approx. 2 miles on the west/left side)

(from Champaign/Urbana, take Neil Street south, into Savoy, past Awesome Machines, Store is on the west/right side)

(from Tuscola/Pesotum, take Route 45 north, through Tolono, past the airport & almost immediately after Wal-Mart on your left/west side)

When?        Saturday 9/25 and Sunday 9/26, approximate hours 10-4 (contact us or Prairieland Feeds for confirmation of hours)

What?        HUGE community pet fair!

CWER headlines with draft horse rides -- Ride a Clyde, or TWO! yes this year we will have TWO! -- as well as at least one pony for smaller guests

Don't miss! the petting zoo

Don't miss! a rescued 'big cat' from Exotic Feline Rescue...usually a full sized TIGER!!

Don't miss! wildlife sanctuary of U of I and other animal shelters, pets to adopt and more

...AND a great sale, including the ever popular no-cost-feed-storage program!!

What did we need to succeed?

                VOLUNTEERS! horse-savvy and horse-shy alike. Sorry, no children under 13 may volunteer at this event. WE HAD AS MANY AS 35 HELPERS!!!!

                RIDERS!    Please consider purchasing a ticket or several, and sharing the joy of riding a rescued clydesdale yourself or with family/friends

                                    NOTE: This is our largest single fundraiser every year. These funds are used primarily to purchase grain, at PLF, to feed the horses in our care.

                "TOWN CRIERS" -- TELL everyone you know to attend the pet fair, won't you???

CWER provides draft horse, "light horse" and pony rides all throughout this great weekend extravaganza.

The Crosswinds crew could not be more proud ... Prairieland Feeds, a long time supporter of not only our rescue but numerous local nonprofit animal groups, graciously invited us to again provide pony, horse, and draft rides at their huge annual Pet Fair, Sept 25&26, 2010!

AGAIN IN 2010, we bought MORE THAN 2 tons (!!) of feeds with a portion of the funds donated!

We cannot begin to thank Gary and the Prairielands Team, or their fantastic clientele, nearly enough for this incredible generosity. The added visibility is priceless, and the funds raised will make a world of difference this winter for our horses.
