Many of our supporters have met Romi -- she's lived at CWER since 2004. She has been our only boarder, owned by Board Member Steve Downey, who, sadly, has had to move to Florida this past year and now is finding that there is just no way he can take Romi to Florida to be with him. So, Steve has asked us to help find Romi a forever home.

Romi is the ideal 'weekend horse' -- she can go without riding for weeks. A brief lunge/round pen, and she's ready to ride and be easy and fun whether its trail or arena, road riding or off to town.

Romi's brilliantly bred, and her half sister is very well known in the endurance and competitive trail arenas. She is full registered Hungarian Warmblood and half-registered as Arabian.

Romi has done leadline rides with beginners, but in general is not a beginner's horse. She's pretty even tempered and a VERY nice ride, but not for a beginner. An early intermediate rider would do well with Romi.
While she appears dainty in the photos, Romi has solid, well bred, strong legs and great hooves and easily carried her 175-ish lb. rider on hours long trail rides. She's a very normal frame with a typical arabian dainty face but not the extreme deep dish.

Romi is a VERY easy keeper -- 3 lbs of strategy per day and simple grass hay is plenty to keep her belly, er, robust. She's fantastic for farrier, vet, shots, wormer.

She even tolerates a birthday hat every June (grin).
